Back on the scene!

"Literally sat here pissing myself for the start of the new season"

So like me you've all probably been counting down the days till the start of the new season?
On the pitch it started just as I suspected - Massive hype pre season everybody expecting big things and we lose, You've got to remember we are Mansfield and we don't actually start playing football till after Jesus' birthday.  So just remember when your putting your accumulators on I'd give us a wide berth but KEEP THE FAITH!

Off the pitch I expected a whole lot more from the home side (Scunthorpe) a full bus of Mansfield arrived in Scunthorpe town centre with no escort, pretty much under the radar, Yet we saw hide nor hair of any Iron lads. It's only an hour down the road lads and after last season's away days people on the scene knew Mansfield were back, so why no show?
My theory is "
THE WALL" must have a lot more to offer than once expected? Its the only feasible reason why you wouldn't be out for the opening day festivities.

Unfortunately for the famous True Iron the Wall  has now been demolished so no excuses not to come out an play for the rest of the season boys...

But for us the rest of the day went pretty much to plan, Have a little wander then camp in a pub and get Shitfaced in the sun.
A few songs were sung many an ale was drank and of course the obligatory arrest.

.

So to some up no action but a good run out for the liver,
Lets hope the season picks up a bit both on and off the pitch.

Oh and there was the standard Naked Man dance!

So who's next Exeter at home, I expect to see all of the young lads out who made an appearance at the back end of last season / start of this. Things are looking bright for the youth of our town
